This policy explains what personal data Next Step collects, why, and your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025.
What we collect
- Free sample form: name, WhatsApp number, email (optional), degree.
- Purchases: name, email and phone, received from our payment provider. We never see or store your card, UPI PIN or bank details.
- Signature service: the details you give in the intake form to write your resume — education, scores, projects, experience, skills, links, your current resume and a target job description.
- Website usage: pages visited and ad source (UTM tags), and — if enabled — Meta Pixel events to measure our ads.
We do not ask for Aadhaar, PAN, date of birth, photographs or bank details. Please don't send them.
Why we use it
- To send you the free sample, your purchase and workshop details.
- To write and deliver your Signature resume.
- To send occasional career tips about Next Step, only if you agreed — reply STOP to opt out anytime.
- To provide support and meet legal and tax obligations.
Who sees it
Your assigned writer and KSAI staff who need it; service providers that help us run the service (payment processing, hosting, email/WhatsApp messaging, ad measurement), under contracts that protect your data. We don't sell your data.
How long we keep it
- Signature intake data and files: deleted 90 days after delivery unless you ask us to keep them.
- Free-sample contacts: until you unsubscribe, or 24 months after your last interaction.
- Purchase records: as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, withdraw consent, or nominate someone to act for you. Email nextstep@kalingasovereignai.com with the subject "Data request". We reply within 7 working days.
Grievance officer

Age
Next Step is meant for students and graduates aged 18 and above. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us before you share any personal data.
Security
Signature files are stored only in KSAI's company Google Workspace, in restricted folders. Writers do not download your files to personal devices.
